Carbon County Friends of Animals is a non-profit organization which advocates the elimination of animal suffering though the sheltering and finding homes for unwanted pets. We also promote low-cost spaying and neutering, and provide educational outreach concerning the welfare of pets. We are a privately run organization, founded in 1998 as a direct need to shelter unwanted cats within our county. Although "Carbon County" is part of our organization name, we do not receive any funding from the county or any other government agency. Unlike the Carbon County Shelter, which is a county run organization providing shelter for unwanted or stray dogs; and does receive county funding, all of our operating, maintenance, and care expenses are paid for by moneys raised by fund-raising and donations. Our goal is to try to shelter as many cats as possible without having to look towards euthanasia as a means of control. HELP!

We need you to help us! Please come to our fund raiser meetings held the first Monday of every month. We had only 2 people show up at the last meeting. We can not keep the shelter running without raising the money at these meetings. We are now selling Pies for Thanksgiving and Cards for Christmas. We could use people to help us sell these.

We know there are a lot of people looking at our website. We are here to help people and take in the unwanted cats that without us would have no place to go. The more help you give us, the more help we can give to the homeless pets surrendered to the shelter.
